Client Drop

A dedicated upload link for every client or project

Client Drop adds a file upload page to your Total CMS website. Create a drop, share its link, and let clients send their files without creating an account. Keep separate links for different projects or set up an ongoing upload link for a regular client.

Your website. Your appearance.

Customize the logo, page text, accent color, background, form card and text colors. Choose Light, Dark or System mode, and add a background image. An optional email logo helps your branding work on light email backgrounds too. Set your usual appearance once, then adjust individual drops when needed.

You can also embed the upload card in an existing page. The outer background stays transparent so it fits into your website.

Files and folders, kept together

Clients can choose files or folders or drag them into the upload area. A folder appears as one clear row with its file count, total size and upload progress. Nested paths stay intact when files are stored and downloaded as a ZIP. Empty files are preserved unchanged.

Transfer large files, too

Client Drop transfers files in small chunks. This means files can exceed your server’s PHP upload limit. Your Drop settings, available storage space and hosting determine the actual limits.

Choose what each upload needs

Show, hide or require the sender’s name, email address and message. Add a password or expiry date, and set limits for file count, individual file size, each transfer and the complete drop.

Duplicate a drop to reuse its setup with a new link. Renew a link when the previous one should stop working.

Stay informed and manage incoming files

Configure recipient emails, optional sender confirmations, Pushover and webhooks independently. Customize email subjects and messages in German and English.

View all incoming files together or open one drop to see its own uploads. Download folders as ZIP files, open received files in Depot and manage old uploads from Total CMS.

Installation and setup

1. Download the Client Drop ZIP and keep it compressed.
2. Open Extensions in Total CMS and click Install Extension.
3. Drop the ZIP onto the installation panel, or click the panel to choose it. The upload starts automatically.
4. Review the extension information and permissions, then enable Client Drop.
5. Open Client Drop and activate your license or start the trial.
6. Under Settings → Page address, set up your upload page. Then create a new drop and share its upload link.

Available updates appear inside Client Drop. You choose when to install them.
